Hicon RCA Connector hi-cm03 - good idea, not convenient realisation!
Ordered the connectors by name - Hicon - and very good look (gold plating - another plus!). On the positive side there is:
- a complete set of parts, including cable clamp, cable support; it is very important and adds a professional "feel and look";
- a very good plating;
- an excellent contact!
There are the drawbacks too:
- not very elaborated way of connecting wires: you can see that the outer (shield) contact does not have any prongs to bit into the cable flesh and the "wings" of the contact overlaps with the central contact; the result is - if you have too thin cable - short circuiting, too thick - unable to clamp; I had to solder the shield to the contact and bite the edges closest to the central contact, but it looks not very neat done this way;
- I was unable to screw up the outer cover of some connectors fully, randomly; I could not understand the cause of this behaviour.

A great connector for high-end systems.
Long time looking for plugs for my 10 sq.mm acoustic cables. Came to the lot at last.
First impressions - they are not that big for my thick cable as I thought, but my cable fit them just fine - good side definitely! Moderate size helped me to put my amplifier slightly back with no concerns on touching the back side of the stand.
They are shiny gold and dark grey - You can feel the fine polishing and it is very good looking.
They have a way of fixing the plug into hole with just a turn of the grey part - it was not mentioned in the description and is a great bonus for me: you do not depend on the material tension!
The cable fit inside the outer hole in such manner that you do not need any "tail damper". Two screws reliably fix the copper part of the cable.
The only very unimportant problem was the contraction of the hole in the second screw part(closer to the plug) which make me cut some number of outer wires of the cable, but it helps with more neat look. I wish also more prominent colour distinguisher, but for the cables it is not very important either.
