Fun looter-shooter
This is a fun little game that really wants to be an MMOG. If you're used to playing third-person shooters, you'll need to adjust your thinking just a bit. This is a looter shooter; there are tiers of gear and they affect your damage. You'll need to play a bit conservative until you build up your equipment and get used to the gameplay.
As far as the storyline goes, it's a bit threadbare. It's more of an excuse to move from area to area. The voice acting and cut-scenes are decent, but not that compelling. You need to finish it before you can access the (limited) MMOG aspects.
There is a 6 hour demo that you can try. You're limited to level 8. It's the full game and it saves your progress. If you buy the full game you can continue playing.
If you buy an edition that includes any items (cosmetics, extra weapons, etc.) you need to finish the first area and then liberate and get to your base of operations in the main game. You'll be able to access your items from the second vendor on the left as soon as you enter the base.
