Grower not a shower
This a fantastic eclectic long player from little known Leeds outfit who were working in the traditions of bands like Wilco and The Lemonheads yet hailed from the UK. It takes its time, but having given it a good few listens over the intervening years this is a very brave, mournful, yet ultimately uplifting collection of songs which will repay with repeated patronage. Echoes of Dylan, The Small Faces and Sonic Youth all tied up with an eye for the sinuous six string freakouts of Dinosaur Jr. A Yorkshire REM with it's own road movie.
