CB 60 Reel

I bought one of these to use as a marker rod reel and I was not disappointed. Beautiful line lay with 25 lb marker braid, a smooth retrieval and comes with a spare graphite spool.The front drag goes from free spool to solid in one turn.Terrific value for money,And the manufacturer doesn’t appear to have skimped on quality

Comfortable cork handle, slimline , blank with a lovely through action.Reel seat will take any sized reel, even a big pit if that’s your preference. Metal eyes throughout, except for the top eye which has a ceramic eye. Definitely recommend

Shimano Big baitrunner XTB longcast 14000

I haven’t used these reels yet so I cannot say how they fish but I have no doubt they will be excellent.The reels have a very silky smooth action and combine the best features of a big pit reel and baitrunner. They have a manual bail arm to prevent automatic bail arm closure during a long cast, and the front drag is of the quick drag type that goes from free spool to locked solid in one turn.The baitrunner switch is opposite to other baitrunners I have in that it is engaged when the lever is pulled out rather than when it’s pushed in like other Shimano baitrunners I have owned.this is actually better as you are less likely to accidentally operate the baitrunner when playing a fish. The spool has massive line capacity but comes with 2 sets of line reducers that reduce the spool from a 14000 to a 10000 or 3500.Spare spools are a separate purchase at about 30 quid each.All told I am very happy with these reels
