Wrong parts included in mislabeled box
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Leaders Marine told me when I called to complain about the parts in this kit not being correct for the stated applications that it was Mercury's fault and that Leader's has had other customers with the same problem. 2 weeks (!) later I'm still waiting for the correct parts from Leaders, which seems content to stall until Mercury acknowledges the problem. So beware that Mercury apparently shipped a number of these kits with incorrect labeling. Beware also that it would take weeks to get the correct parts from Leaders. I'd order elsewhere until this gets straightened out. In the meantime the customer (me) is caught in the middle and my boat sits out of the water.

Tedious unless you're a religious scholar
Author White does a masterful job of dissecting Lincoln's speech and then linking every word, phrase and sentence to a biblical or overtly religious reference. Not what I was looking for. A non-religious, historical commentary on the speech would have been more valuable.

Time for a new, legible edition. TIny print and crayon-like maps are getting old.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich First, it has to be said that the information in this book is terrific. I started with Kelsey's Second Edition years ago so I've seen the book through several iterations. The problem now is the tiny (5 or 6 pt type) and clumsy maps that look like they were drawn with a crayon. Oh, the book is still very useful, but in order to save money on a much-needed total redesign, the author and his publisher have decided to shrink the out-dated type font and stick in some color photos, most with the author prominently featured. A better use of that space would be to delete half the pictures, change the font, and increase the type size.
The best of its kind is still Michel Diconnet's "Hiking Death Valley" with its clear, legible fonts and stunning maps. Kelsey and his publisher should familiarize themselves with that gem and then present us with a 6th Edition worth of Kelsey's exploration achievements. Until then, skip this book, or buy it and a magnifying glass.
