Great for educators
The story of Fred Rogers is that of a genuine man who didn’t sell out his young audience to make money. He taught children to own their feelings and that quiet times could be great times. He also had lessons for us as educators and parents… that children don’t necessarily think like adults. We have to remember they are forming their world views. Sponges absorb what ever they are exposed to. What lessons are our children absorbing from us?

Learned a lot about the Neighborhood
This book takes a deep dive into how Mr Rogers created his TV show and all the details of his world building. Loved learning about the creative people who brought it together.

My childhood would have been quite different without the influence of Fred Rogers. Even after his stuff became ‘childish’ to me, his lessons stayed with me.
This book has those lessons and sayings—many already published—but it also contains the article which inspired the recent movie.
Finally, a connection between my adult self and the child who soaked up the living lessons from this inspiring educator.
