Comparison of Parts
After removing the OEM from my truck and comparing it with the the new part I purchased, there was virtually no difference in the two parts. The new part might have been an upgrade due to the fact the new part was reinforced with aluminum in the portion that caused the OEM to fail.

K&N review
K&N makes top of the line products and you cannot go wrong with their purchase. You pay a bit more for this but you also get lifetime warranty. Never buy another filter again.
