Double sided foam tape

Bought this tape to mount my number plates on my car. On application the tape seamed quite sticky, but after a few days the tape would not hold at the edges of my number plate. It didn't take much effort to pull off the plates off .when I purchased the tape it was advertised as heavy duty tape, which it is definitely not .So I purchased a different mounting tape for a few pounds more which has been far superior , my l plates are now secure .
