A way of life that's gone forever
A selection of typical Parish magazine entries from the last years of the 19th Century in rural Norfolk and in the last section of this very readable book a very specific following of the fates of soldiers from the villages of Thompson,Merton and Tottington during WW1.It gives an insight into the issues that were met by the Rector, often at his own expense, his standing in the community and perhaps that even when in the midst of it he was not quite able to condemn the horror of the War
