logical and informative title.
great condition, good colors. informative lessons but the author sometimes jumps too quickly between steps of instruction. A steep curve of learning, but valuable.

If you like to listen to the Iliad in audio, this is a good one to have.
This is a more faithful translation of Homer's classic than others that have been overly modernized to make them flow faster. Fitzgerald's language is fast enough, and just like his Aeneid, is faithful to the intended sense without too many euphemisms and poetic license that other translators sometimes resort to.

1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This was a very inexpensive collection of Beethoven's Nine Symphonies conducted by Herbert Von Karajan in 1963. It is not in stereo, so the sound is not up to modern technology conditions, but is a good recording of how Karajan conducted Beethoven's symphonies when he was younger. I found the pace to be very fast, and some of the renditions, particularly of the fifth, seventh, eighth, and parts of the ninth, to have a more decidedly "germanic" feel to them. Particulary compared to modern recordings, these sound more traditional, and perhaps closer to the canonical Beethoven.. There is always controversy on just how fast Beethoven wanted some of his pieces played ,but here Von Karajan has very much decided that the fastest pace is the best interpretation. A nice window on the past.
