All in all a great all round machine
The 1st 2 cuts were thro a 10in (250mm) holly tree, it didnt like it but it got thro. My wife found out that holly is only 2nd hardest to oak, so thats a boast to begin with! the 2nd 2, we tried on an ash & it cut thro that no problem. nice cable length at 6m (19' 8 1/4") thick but very flexible, the body seems to be tough & at 5.85kg its not that heavy but no lightweight either. The paint job finish of the bar is, dare i say pi** poor to say the least, 1hr of cutting & it needs a respray. the tool less chain adjustment is magic & even to take the side casing off to change the chain or to brush out the excess shavings & sawdust should it get clogged up only takes a few minutes. The wearing of earmuffs & gloves is a must with this machine as its got a pretty loud whine to it whereas the vibration only becomes apparent over long periods of use, plus that chain does tend to get pretty hot. it uses a fair amount of oil but its got a window so you can keep a check on how much you're using & if it needs topping up then its time to give it a rest & let the chain cool down (& for you to have a cuppa.) Take your finger off the trigger & the chain stops quicker than i can blink even tho you've still got the emergency brake as well, tried it, it works! its comfortable to hold even on its side. The self sharpener does actually work, for how many times only time will tell, but apparently you have to buy a special self sharpening chain that comes with the sharpener at £30 which isn't cheap, easily available at your local tool shop that sells these machines. Electric is so much easier & cleaner than petrol & better for our environment, its got to be the way forward!

shame they were bent
Bent as a nine bob note, quality left a dry taste in my gob that desperately needed a cuppa & they looked ridiculous when fitted. Whos idea to buy a car with no roof rails?
