I had to buy it!
Feed Me Weird Things was dropped into my ears by a friend at work. Our tastes overlapped with Miles Davis, and Weather Report. The link with Tom Jenkins is with his diverse and expert bass playing. Jaco Pastorious is often specifically mentioned when discussing Tom, and this album and his next which I want to buy, are the reason why. Tom doesn't dwell there, and all the tracks on this album, while sharing the drum and bass idiom, paint varied scenes of different moods. Some are sombre, mysterious, other are frenetic, or simply don't take themselves seriously at all. In all it is a revelation, a demonstration of the artistic vision and imagination of Squarepusher.
