This one came up for sale and I am more than happy with it.
It is heavy but, in my view, that is evidence of its old-school bullet-proof construction which is preferable to plastic components.
Image quality on a d300 is EXCEPTIONAL and I am still learning it's capabilities!
I would recommend this lens to anyone that wants a macro lens - but, as a bonus, it is a very good short telephoto for portrait work especially.

Small and sleek
Compared to other hot plates I have owned previously this is smaller and sleeker and much easier to keep clean.
The black on black of the plates on the body makes it look quite stylish too.
The plates heat up quickly and I am happy with the product.
