A Must Read for Every Parent & Educator!!
Paul Tough does an outstanding job peeling back many of the much-hyped, modern day educational programs to expose what truly leads to a child's success, in school and in life: character!!! An excellently researched, well-written book that unintentionally demonstrates the importance of proper parental involvement, beginning with the earliest stages of a child's development and lasting through high school. I am anxiously awaiting the publishing of his follow-on book, "Helping Children Succeed, What Works and Why" which should be available this month.

Awesome barefoot shoe!
The moment I put this shoe on, it felt absolutely amazing -- crazy comfortable, as if it were handmade specifically for my feet! I knew I could wear these all day long ... and I have! The sole is extremely durable and absorbs impacts when I run (and when I walk) - by the way, the shoe feels just as good running as walking. I especially like the way it "ties" - the adjustable loop form fits each shoe around the entire foot, ensuring maximum comfort whether walking or running. To purchase, I used the Vibram shoe guide and the fit was complete perfection. (Unfortunately, that same guide was incorrect for Alitza Loop, off by one whole size (minimum), but was, fortunately, on target for Trek Ascent Insulated - just FYI. Oh yes, the thinner outside of the V-Alpha makes putting them on much easier than the Ascent (though I also love the Ascent!).)
