scintillating production
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Except for his first statement, "the principal singers are excellent," I would reverse every subsequent negative comment that hunkydad makes about this production of The Merry Widow. Even his comment that the San Francisco production is much better than this version is--from my perspective--absolutely incorrect. This is an excellent production, including costumes and scenery. Rent it from Netflix if you don't believe me; then buy it.

4 star movie; 2 star picture/sound
Fine film; excellent acting. I downrated it to "average," however, because it was advertized as "widescreen", which it isn't. And, as with six or seven other films that I've seen which have been distributed by Polart, the quality of the video DVD is atrocious. [I wish that Polart would stop distributing these fine Polish films, until they found the technology to do them right].

What you see is not what you get
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The 8" Springfield thermometer pictured, is not the one you are going to get from lyolawire. You will get a newer version that is quite inferior to the one pictured. [You will get the one that has a half inch ring of plastic around the circumference ... it is pictured in many of the other ebay offerings].
