iPod Classic 80 GB - Really Great!
I wanted an iPod with a lot of storage capacity. This 80 GB has the second largest hard drive with the 160 GB being the largest. I like the way that the the album covers slowly move accross the screen as you navigate the menus. I also like the new Cover Flow feature. If you choose the Cover Flow menu option, you can fly through a stream of album covers sorted by artist. Once you choose the album that you want, you click the center selection button and the album flips over to show the song list. You select the song that you want to hear and the album flips over to the cover art again and the song plays. Apple is famous for making electronics human-friendly and theis iPod certainly is. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and the album art is a fun and beautiful way to navigate through the content. I think Apple may be working on the sorting of the albums in Cover Flow. I have a few that don't sort alphabetically by artist but it may be how I set up iTunes. For me it doesn't really matter though because I just stream through the album art until I see the one I'm looking for. Also, iTunes does not have every album cover known to man and you may have to scan your CD cover or search the net for the jpeg image that you are looking for. I've got music, videos and games on the iPod and I am really enjoying it!
