A lot more than just a Hong Kong gun play.

Made in 1986 and credited with the birth of the Heroic Bloodshed Genre, and Gun Fu, and a break out film for both Director John Woo and Actor Chow Yun Fat. However it is more than these labels. It’s a story of brotherhood and loyalty divided by the law. Good men gone bad. A Hong Kong Classic. More character than pyrotechnics, and all the better for it. Yet here are the style roots that ultimately lead to Matrix and the recent John Wick series.
