Math is Really Fun!!
Looking for a way to make math real to the children in your class? Want some way cool usages for math now that you have the Common Core to teach? This is your book!!! "Math Wizardry for Kids" is a terrific resource for teachers. It is filled with all sorts of marvelous facts, tricks, history and try-its that will have you and your class loving math! I used the section on Leonardo Fibonacci for years to introduce math to my fourth graders. It was a fun way to get them excited about the coming year - we counted sections of oranges, grapefruits, and pineapples. We counted the leaves and petals on flowers and shrubs and searched for Fibonacci sequence numbers all around our school. I became a better math teacher and the kids learned to find joy in learning math. You and your students will have a great time with math.

I had these books when I taught school and I used them all of the time. They are great!! Now my grandkids need the experience, so I bought all four of the books. They are just great!!!

Great product from a publisher well-known in the education world
As a fourth grade teacher I am always looking for new ideas and materials to motivate and teach my students. This book is filled with practice for English grammar standards. It covers all grammar concepts from nouns and verbs to sentence structure to contractions. The pages are visually attractive and will appeal to all students. The one drawback I found to this product is that it doesn't cover in depth. There might be one practice page on common nouns and then it is on to proper nouns. Some of the pages seem a bit easy for fourth graders too; providing visual cues to answers when students ought to be able to determine an appropriate answer without that type of help. Perhaps using those pages with ELL students would be useful.
