A lovely little scanner
These Kodak scanners are compact and sturdy. The twain drivers are easy to load.
I trialled a few applications to run my scanning and the scanner was happy working with all of them.
The scanner is A4 but there is 1cm oversize allowance, the paper feed being up to 22cm. It also handles tickets and receipts well - but as with all scanners, flimsy items may need to be fixed to a backing sheet.
Duplex is nearly as fast as Simplex so it can get through batches of work efficiently.
B&W and Colour resolution is good and the documents I have scanned have all gone through OCR with a high degree of accuracy (as long as the insides of the unit are kept dust-free!).
All-in-all, a lovely little unit.

Good value for occasional use
This is an item I will only use occasionally so I didn't want to spend a lot. The unit works OK but feels a bit "lightweight" for regular use.

A decent after-market replacement battery
The battery comes with instructions on how to charge it and completely discharge it a few times to get the most out of it. This was certainly worth doing as it now performs well and will run the laptop for longer than the original would.
