Smashing
There have been a few bad reviews about this lens with regards to focusing wide open. It was the first thing I checked when I received mine and can say that yes, it was not focusing well on the subject within my AF indicator. However, I also checked my Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and it was similar. My camera is a D600. I dialled in +18 on the AF Fine Tune and now is bang on, I also dialled in +12 on my 50mm and now that is bang on. Very rarely do I shoot wide open which is probably why I never noticed on the 50mm before.
The build quality matches any other lens I have and the weight is fine.
It is a tad louder than my Nikkor lenses but heck, I'm not using this for nature so no biggie.
Seems to focus fast enough for my uses.
