Great way to extend the best DVR out there
I recently cut the cord (AT&T U-Verse) and went over the air and streaming. A key part of my plan was to get a Tivo Roamio and a Tivo Mini. Tivo DVRs, in my opinion, are sooo much better than what the cable/satelitte companies force on you. I was so happy to get back to the Tivo remote/interface.
The Tivo Mini is a great way for us to use the big recording capability and HD antenna on our Tivo Roamio in our bedroom. All of the recordings are available to us as well as Live TV streamed from one of the Roamio's tuners. It also has most of the main streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). I tend to use my AppleTV for the streaming apps, because the performance is better than the Tivo versions.
The only thing I wish it had was an app for the SlingTV service.

Exactly What I Needed
I misplaced my apple remote and although I am sure it will turn up eventually, I decided to order a replacement. The remote I received is exactly what I misplaced and I was able to easily pair the new remote with the AppleTV and I was back in business.

Makes cutting the cord a snap
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I cut the cable and it's been a breeze since I used the Roamio. I'm able to re it's off my HD antenna and search all my streaming providers The only negative is that you cannot get to Sling TV streaming.
