Essential reading
This is a bible for motorcyclists, beginners and experienced alike.
Reading this as a follow up to passing your test is a must. Of course it would be helpful during training, but taking on board this book while you're finding your feet (or wheels) in the real world should be compulsory.
Learning to handle a bike and pass your test is one thing, but almost like gaining a martial arts black belt, that's when the learning really starts. CBT, Mod1 & Mod2 are pretty good benchmarks for getting on the road, but none of them can fast track you in the science and art you need to master to be a good and safe rider.
This book lays it out clearly and gives you tons of things to think about in building blocks, there's always something to take away and consider out on the road.
As I advance, I will never consider myself an expert. Complacency and over-confidence are deadly traits when you're so exposed and vulnerable out on the road. Having this kind of expertise at hand to refer to and give you guidance on things you could definitely find out the hard way is priceless.
This book is written by people with experience and insight, and should be placed next to where you stash your crash helmet and gloves.
