Old School Opteron, but a good upgrade for certain servers
In most Opteron 200 series servers and motherboards, these are a drop in replacement.
These are older CPUs for older servers, but when you simply can't replace a server for whatever reason, a drop-in CPU upgrade is extremely cost-effective.
Be aware that some boards may require you to upgrade the BIOS -before- the CPU.
From a 242 (what I replaced with these) to a 285 is the difference between 1.6GHz and 5.2GHz.
Since I was replacing 2 CPUs on a dual board, I went from 3.2GHz total to 10.4GHz total.
It is really about a 2.5X speedup over original, and uses roughly the same wattage, what's not to like?

Great backlit keyboard for gaming or insomnia. ;-)
Solid feel, backlight adjustable to turn on only when your hands are within about 1/2", to turn on on a keypress, or even to stay on. With 2 AA NiMH batteries, plug in the micro USB for charging, and you're set for days...and nights.

Good screen protector for an unusual phone
Fits well, sticks well (if you clean your screen first, of course).
