made for an "LX 80" but i tried to use it in an "LX 80 II." the result was a small leak because the length of the threaded shaft that meets the gun body is about 1mm shorter. the seal is inside the body of the gun so an external O-ring didn't help. maybe using the existing outer part with the new spring-shaft would work. else i'll try an externally-mounted crush ring. teflon-tape on tne non-pitched threads would be a last resort.

Good as a specialty tool
The overall length of the tool is 3 inches with the 12-point flutes extending 1.5 inches before the socket begins to taper. The craftsmanship of the product is good for the price point and the product is stamped with the claim to be made of "Chrome Vanadium" (which is a common high-strength steel used in similar tools, more properly known as "chromium-vanadium steel"). Though this tool appears to be relatively robust, it clearly isn't designed as an impact socket and should not be used as such. My personal use has been to remove 12-point axle nuts on mid-size import vehicles and the tool has performed well in this application.

Do the job right the first time.
I had installed a “rebuilt” compressor the first time and it showed signs of failure from the start and was dead within a few months. I’m fairly certain that their “rebuilt” was simply pulled from a vehicle and cleaned, painted and put in a box. This “new” compressor was twice the price but the quality is readily apparent. Totally worth it. If you don’t want to do the job twice, buy this once.
