There are many accessories and additional lenses that can be purchased to suit your needs. It does require a SD card to be installed before you can use it. Purchase a good one geared toward photography, you won't regret spending the couple of extra dollars in exchange for the benefits. Battery pack has long life before requiring charging. The camera has great image quality and was fairly easy to learn to use. Indoor, outdoor, all different lighting and weather conditions, I get great photos.
