British Telecom BT BIG Button Corded Phone
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have a slight hearing problem, and usually wear hearing aids: it's often easier to just use a phone without them... but many phones are then too quiet to hear, especially if the caller is softly spoken. I bought one of these phones for myself ages ago, and the ability to amplify the volume works just great for me. In addition, the handset DOES couple inductively, so you can use it with your hearing aid on the T / loop setting.
My mum (in her 80's) also has a hearing problem, so I decided to get HER one of these phones from eBay, and I set it all up for her (ie all the stored numbers) when I recently visited. As a result of the built-in amplifier, she can now hear the conversation a LOT better, and she also tells me that, on it's angled base, it's at just the right angle on her bedside table.
The phone has 2 or 3 "one-key" memories (depends if you want to keep the "1571" button, or put your own number there!) plus another 10 "two-key" quick-dial memories... for my mum, this is essential, she'll never remember the phone numbers! The big buttons are also nice (and not too big to be condescending!).
For those of you with SEVERE hearing losses, there are better (ie louder) phones available, but for those of you who are "hard of hearing" I think you'll find this phone is pretty helpful.

If you have an SL 1200 with a missing or broken hinge, then this item is a must for you.
Being a "genuine" item, it looks and works 100% like the real thing!
It is fitted by tightening 2 screws, so make sure you have been suitably trained in how to use a screwdriver.
