Great professional quality instrument
The american deluxe stratocaster is beautiful in tobacco sunburst ash body (2015 model). It plays as beautifully as it looks. So dynamic and versatile, I can play all styles of music with it and it especially excels at country and blues or blues rock. The pickups are incredibly silent and have pretty good dynamics and character. I don't think I'll be changing them for a very long time. I like the fretboard for fast leads and it chords very well in on part of the neck. It's a dream guitar for me and my other guitars are getting severely neglected now. I'm glad I bought this one brand new and it had all the goodies that came with it. I brought it to my guitar tech to properly set it up and intonate it because ii was not set up very well at the factory and the neck needed truss rod adjustment. But it played pretty well out of the box, now it plays spectacularly. Unfortunately these American Deluxes won't be around too long new because they have discontinued that model line. Glad I got one before they disappeared.

Great tuner
I'm an old rocker and can't see so well so this one is perfect for me fits in my pedal board perfectly too. Easy to use and has multi string check to slow you which strings are off. Learning curve is a minute or less.

A plethora of musical instruments and sounds all played from a guitar.
The GR-55 with the GK pickup allowed me to learn the synth patches and features right away without having to buy a dedicated guitar with built-in GK pickup. Installing the GK pickup and configuring it was fairly easy but it takes some time. (my experience was it's easiest to install it on a Strat.) I haven't yet modeled my own patches there's so many pre-programmed ones that sound great. Attention: you must learn how to play certain patches by modifying your touch and speed and play carefully to avoid mistakes. For example legato playing doesn't work on certain patches very well. It's like if you're playing a flute you play the strings like a flautist plays notes, or with sampled piano patches you play notes and chord voicing differently to make it sound better. But it's difficult to do high speed runs on patches based off of sampled instruments. You have to adapt to all different types of patches. For me that's a challenge and very fun.
*I use GarageBand as a DAW on my iMac M1 with MacOS 15 and I couldn't get good tracking on many patches though USB audio connection, it was way too slow, so I had to connect to my digital audio interface with a guitar cable from the output on the GR-55. It works great that way, tracking is fast, you can shred with many of the patches. I haven't tested it with an amp because I have tube amps (solid state amps for synths is best) and I also don't have a PA system but I heard it's best through a PA connected stereo.
