Sunset Song
I have only read the first part, Sunset Song- but I find it written by a master! Lewis Grassic Gibbon is a Scotsman, and writes in a Scottish dialect. Some words have to be figured out, in the context of the sentence. The story is about a young woman, living in a remote area during WWI. Time and place are brought into sharp focus. Recommend!!!

Interesting and educational

Edward S Curtis was obsessed with visiting 80 Indian tribes before they disappeared, and made it his life’s work to document their culture, religion and customs.. The author, Timothy Egan masterfully tells the story of Edward Curtis.

head nets
The nets do what they are supposed to do- keep the bugs away- but vision is impaired because of the dark netting. Having said that, I will still wear the head net in buggy environments!
