Cherry Cola Champions
I love the author Nancy Simpson Levene, and have read with my children most of her books in the Alex Series. Her books describe real life situations that many preteens can relate to and show Biblical solutions to life's dilemas. I appreciate the "character" and "values" building that goes into each book. "Cherry Cola Champions" shows how much a secure God honoring child (Alex) can make a huge difference in the life of someone whom others reject as friends. It shows how true friendship can lift others up, and how God can work through you to accomplish His purposes when you trust in Him. Although, Alex the main character is a female my 9 yr. old son (now 10 yrs.) enjoys these books as much as my 12 yr. old daughter. I am currently ordering the T.J. Series by this same author one book at a time for my son. Although I haven't read any of them yet, we are anxiously awaiting their arrival so that we can begin a new series.
