I believe the switch is junk

I had to drill the hole out quite large to mount it. It has the same 5 prongs so it plugged right in. It will not crank the engine, the old one does but notches one. I bought a new switch because I was told that one of the lines controlled the gas flow to carb. With the old switch you had to spray a little gas in the carb and then it would start right up. Now it won't even crank
