I like the Luchs!
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This is a fine little product with fine detail. Decals look better than most. Assembly with interleaved wheels can be complicated, but this kit has detailed, crisp instruction sheets. At the price, it is a significant value. Packaging was sufficient to insure nothing arrived broken. Delivery was fine...reasonable. I am a 73-year-old scale model enthusiast who has won international IPMS awards in Axis armor categories. The little Luchs is a welcome addition to the odder types of light tanks used by the Germans. Everything about this purchase was a pleasure. I have not a single complaint.

Precise and accurate: fine replica
Dragon has done a magnificent job in expanding its offerings to early German Mark III tanks. In places, as with the hull/suspension components, directions were a bit difficult. The parts bear some flash, but are to scale and carefully detailed. I would have been happier with a single-piece gun tube. Care and patience will yield an impressive model. I was building when the Tamiya Mark III's appeared (M/N marks), and can appreciate the engineering required to make this Dragon masterpiece. I intend building the entire series. It will be a long and happy winter.

Old School Panther is still a fun build
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich The venerable Tamiya Ausf. A Panther has been around for decades. With advanced kits from other makers, it can seem almost toy-like, but done carefully, it is still a remarkable likeness of the era's best medium fighting tank. Take the time to close off the many see-through aperatures of the model (periscope covers, engine air intakes) by cementing flat plastic scrap to the underside of the hull before fixing the deck to the hull. Because the 75mm main gun is so prominent and so long, take the time to fill and eliminate seams; including the muzzle brake. Poke around in the scrapbox for extra tools and gear to bolt on. The jack, positioned between the exhausts, is particularly crude. A newer one is a good update. If you apply a clear flat overspray, the old kit decals are remarkably good. I used a four-color scheme; brown, green, panzer gray and light sand. All of these are camo enamels in spray cans available at the hardware store if you wish to avoid an airbrush. This is a useful tip, as model paint makers are all converting enamels to latex.
