Tripod and base combo

Kenwood TS-590S SO-3 TCXO
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This 3rd party Kenwood TS-590S SO-3 TCXO cost only $17.00 and I got what I paid for. The frequency stability vs temp was better than that factory base crystal. Installation of the TCXO module was super easy. The problem I experienced was that the TCXO that I received could not be adjusted to exactly 15.6000 MHz. There was not enough fine adjustment range to get to exactly 15.6 MHz. I use my TS-590S with a 2M transverter and the best frequency accuracy I could acheive was -80 Hz from expected. Not fatal but a disappointment. I will buy another TCXO module from another supplier and hope for a better result. I plan to use a 1296 MHz transverter in the future so frequency accuracy will be even more important.
