Worked with a little re-engineering.
It is made well and is exactly what was needed.
The female threaded end is convex with a substantial bowl The threaded male end of my monopod was not long enough . I placed the female threaded side down on top of the male threaded post but the threads did not reach each other so I could not mount it. I used a bench grinder to grind the convex down until it was almost gone which allowed me to get it on my monopod post. I don't think the the convex finish is necessary. It should be flat and flush. After I solved that issue, it did exactly what I needed it to.
