Stunning thrillers with twists and more twists!
Scott Turow is a delightful discovery. I bought a book - Innoncent, from a charity store and was blown away. He is John Grisham on steroids and I love John Grisham. Since then, I have bought a number of books by Turow. Believe me, you will never be disappointed. Do yourself a favour.

First person genius storytelling.
Malcolm Mckay is a hero find for me. I bought his first installment of the Glasgow Trilogy, "The necessary death of Lewis Winter", in an Op shop. I had to follow up. I tracked down the next 2 installments via Ebay. I'm gratefull. Great books written in the first person. Riveting.

A legendary master!!!!
I had a few-lot of drinks with Rory Gallagher in the 70's at a nightclub called The Underground in Brisbane Australia and he told my mate and me about when he was asked to join the Rolling Stones, after Mick Taylors departure. He was hilarious, but not in a nasty way. He said Mick Jagger spent the whole time they were playing, dancing and looking at himself in a mirror, while Keith Richards kept falling asleep and forgetting what song they were doing. "I didn't need it mate", was his appraisal of the audition.
Let's face it the Stones needed him a lot more than he needed them. Mick Taylor was brilliant, as was Rory.
Rory Gallagher is a brilliant blues man/consumate musician. One of the first albums I bought as a kid in the 70's was "Live Taste" and I was hooked.
