Excellent character and beautiful lens.
I finally got one after exercising extreme patience and waiting for one at a sensible price. Not disappointed! Great little lens with bags of character. Ignore the uninitiated who say it's a "soft lens". All lenses are sharp - you just have to understand their characteristics to get the he best from them. If you buy one and see oil on the aperture blades, leave it alone! It's supposed to be there. All 44s and 44-2s left the factory like that. They are totally manual lenses that need lubricated blades. This is rapidly becoming one of my favourite lenses - it's up there with my Industar 50-2. Highly recommend this if you're a fan of classic lenses.
