Overall, really good.
Overall, I was pleased with the locomotive. It pulls well and I was glad to see it pulls a 20 car freight train with ease. The paintjob is beautiful and I I couldn't find any problems. It does emit a squeak at over 50 on the legacy remote and it had two cosmetic problems. One of the pieces that holds the handrails on was broken and I had to use super glue to secure it. Also, the throttle piece was disconnected and I had to bend it back into it's hole. Overall, it is a very nice detailed engine and after a few teething problems with programming it into the remote, it is a great engine

Great, especially for 1998
The car may not live up to modern standards due to some of the cast in details that wouldn't pass on a master line freight today. The bearing caps are also cast in to the truck sideframes. The paintjob is my favorite o scale paintjob. The details on this car are much better than the Lionel 100 year 3-bay cylindrical hopper produced 3 years later.
