Great American
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich I have owned a Timber Bear 605 for over 20 years and purchased a used 610 off of Ebay 5-6 years ago. I cut about 3-4 full cords a year, elm, cherry, ash and maple. The 610 is the balls.
It is a tank, no cheap flimsy plastic on this brute and it will give you a good upper body workout after a few hours. It does weigh a bit.
Am in total agreement with the previous review.
I have noticed in the past few years the carb diaphrams go bad frequently, every two to three years, probably from the ethanol.
Parts replaced on both saws, (1)carb,(4)carb diaphrams,(1)ignition module,(2)fuel lines,(1)starter,(1)clutch, (as needed) air filters, spark plugs, sprockets/bars and chains. Parts purchased off of Ebay.
There are no marks on the intake or exhaust side of the pistons and the compressions are both in the 150 range.
Both saws have always been reliable.
I have been teased by neighbors for holding on to my MACALUCKS, but there is just something special about an real American chainsaw. It's like an old Harley.

FJ1200 Mirror Mod
I got tired of looking at my elbows in the mirrors and after a recommendation from FJowners forum I decided to try these. After elongating the holes and making a base gasket they fit very well. They do not vibrate any more than the stockers and I have taken the bike up to 120mph plus and have had no issues. The most important thing is I can now watch for red lights behind me. They don't look weird on the bike either.
