Great entertainment
Didn't watch Downton when it was on the TV as I'd rather choose when and how many episodes to watch at any one time, this item allowed me to do just that. As it happens Downton was such a good series that the family sped through all six series including the specials in just 2 weeks. Great entertainment, now I'm looking for Downton the movie!

Hammerite Direct to Rust Smooth Black
Used Smooth Black Hammerite on new mild steel gate.
Despite the application instructions to the contrary next time I would thin the product before attempting to brush on, it’s very viscous and tends to ‘drag’ leaving a lot brush marks in the finish.
Two cotes are recommended and definitely required as coverage is surprisingly poor for such a viscous paint, the brush tends to drag the paint off the surface. More delicate areas such as external corners required three cotes to ensure complete cover.
Dries well and in line with times provided on the tin.
Overall, looks ok on a gate, I’d be less pleased with the finish on a larger flat surface due to the brush marks.
