I am pleased with it can't wait to see what new apps Google comes with next
The Chromebook is great, very fast to start-up. Great for internet browsing and video streaming. They will not run Windows software but there are many equal apps available from Google. I keep my old lap-top around that has Windows 8.1 but I find I use it very little. I liked this computer so much I bought a new Chromebook so I could just keep one at my work. Also when the Granddaughters are visiting they can each use one, no fighting.

Worked well on recent trip
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I have a Nuvi 260W but it didn't have a mount and maps needed upgrading. I bought this 295W for about the same price as what it would cost to get what I needed for my 260W. I liked the WiFi connectivity, I used it recently on a trip to the west coast. It was sometimes a little hard to find a wifi connection, but at visitor centers, truck stops and hotels it worked very good. I was amazed how much I could do with the browser in this unit. I kept watch on National Weather Service forecasts and maps to choose our route.
The camera is a neat feature but the quality of the picture is poor.
It's small size was not much of a problem with viewing. The picture rotated with rotation of the unit so I could position it for best view of the road ahead. I wish it would tell the street name when turning but the picture did automatically zoom to the corners so you could see at a glance how the turn was.
The volume on the unit is a bit low I had it on Max most of the time. I think if the speaker was on the front the sound would be better.
The battery life varied a lot, not sure if something running in the background shortened battery life at times or what was happening.
All in all I feel it is a very good unit for the price and I will find many more uses for it on future trips and for hiking.
