Just what I wanted.
This seems to be an original or equivalent remote shutter control for my Pentax DSLR, and as such it works normally. My main interest in it is for time exposures and it also provides that with the 'hold open' slide button. Very pleased.

6-Point star 52mm star filter does the job.
The star filter arrived well packaged and in the expected shipping time. It seems to be of good quality and appears to work as I expected, though I haven't had time yet to test it thoroughly.

Replacement Improved Substitute Parts Not Necessarily Equivalent

They don't seem to be available from the manufacturer, but I found this company that has tackled the problem by making, even improving, shaver parts. To their great credit, their service was excellent. The heads they recommended were not identified as being for my specific model but rather for certain later models. When I received them, they were obviously a bit different, whether because of the different model numbers or because of a claimed "improved drive system". With the new heads installed, my shaver does work but runs harder, ie., it seems to be laboring and I have to be careful to prevent stalling it while shaving. I believe this solution will be adequate in view of the unavailability of exact replacements, but would have preferred new parts exactly the same as the originals. In that case if my shaver still ran slower than before, I'd have to blame it on the aging or clogging of the machine itself. This still needs to be checked.
