May work on dirt bikes, where you take measurement above rear swing arm, but completely useless for my S1000XR as the horizontal measuring section which needs to touch bottom of swingarm for measurement is about 4cm too short. The slider is pulled down to take slack measurement once the horizontal section is firmly wedged against swingarm, but that's impossible to do. You can kind of try and hold it in place (floating in air) but you'd misjudge measurement by 10-20mm - have gone back to ruler
