Very Nice Travel Charger
I am mostly using AA NiMH batteries and this charger does a good job charging them gently at 500mA. NiMH charging terminates on voltage and has no trickle charge which is good for battery life. It charges LiIon cells at max 750mA using standard CC-CV algorithm. This is a very nice, compact and practical travel charger if you need to charge single cells. I would buy it again.

Suitable for solar garden lights or phones
Good for solar garden lights, phones, and other applications where you don't need high capacity, but are cycling the cells frequently.

Poor Cycle Life, Quick Capacity Degradaton
I am testing how many times Ni-MH batteries can be re-charged. ANSMANN 2500 maxE are the worst performers, check my aacycler website. The packaging says 1000 times, but this is too optimistic a claim. All other batteries I tested can be cycled more often.
