Excellent Live Center
I was looking for a live center to use with my 1947 vintage 10" Montgomery Ward / Logan metal lathe and wanted something better than one of the low cost Chinese imports. I've seen other products from the Czech company Skoda that were of very high quality so decided to spend a little extra and try this unit. It didn't disappoint! This center seems very well made, appears to be well sealed, and has little turning resistance. At a rated 600 pounds maximum pressure it well exceeds anything my mid-sized lathe is likely to withstand. I've used it a few times and so far it's performed flawlessly. What's not to like?
