Outlander (Necromunda S.) by Keefe, Matt Paperback Book The Cheap Fast Free Post

    Very good
Classic Western in the setting of the Underhive. When I started reading this, my immediate recollections were of A Fistful of Dollars, Gangs of New York and Nevada Smith. I will not say any more for fear of spoiling it but it is good.
Gangsta Vol 5 by Kawase Kohske (Paperback, 2015) < 9781421573489

    Another action packed installment
An interesting instalment of the Gangsta series which introduces (I believe it is this volume and not volume 6) the concept of the Destroyers, specifically the Destroyers Third Group. The attack on the Paulklee Guild, a guild of Twilight mercenaries, is particularly epic. If you like this, you may wish to continue with the Gangsta series and also possibly investigate the side series: Gangsta Cursed.
Rohan At The Louvre - 9781561636150

    Good read
In this book, Rohan, one of my favourite characters from Part 4 of JJBA embarks on a journey to find the location of a supposedly cursed painting painted with the mysterious "blackest black" pigment at the Louvre. While embarking on this journey, Rohan recalls a time in his youth when he was a mere neophyte temporarily staying at his grandmother's house which has some very strange rules and design choices (this is Hirohiko Araki) and meets a girl that tells him of the mysterious painting. After an argument or a series of arguments, she leaves and he never sees her again. Present day: After a conversation with some familiar faces including Koichi and Josuke, Rohan is reminded of the story of the painting and so travels to France and visits the Louvre. After having initially been told there is no record of the painting at the Louvre; Rohan finds out that the painting is located in a secure vault. In a sequence that is truly nightmarish, the power of the pigment is revealed; to confront those who look at it with their worst dreams and memories. Rohan only manages to escape by using his stand to erase his memories (thus nullifying the power of the painting) but the attendants that go with him are not so fortunate and are never heard from again. The ultimate fate of the painting is unknown The tone of this work is poetic and whimsical, like a modern day fairy tale or a mystery story from Weird Tales and the artwork is detailed and lifelike. As this is a promotional work for the Louvre, there is also an appendix at the back containing all kinds of interesting information about the history of the building and the cultural exhibits on offer. I would recommend this for fans of Araki's unique style as well as those who are interested in art history.
