slow but steady cutting

This jigsaw blade is not cheap at nearly £12, but it does work - just. I needed to cut some 12mm thick cementitious sheets (similar to water-proof plasterboard). Blades for both metal and wood were blunted in about one minute. This diamond blade does cut this sheet, or rather wear it away, quite slowly. It needs quite a lot of pressure on the jigsaw to wear a 1mm wide slot through the sheets. It does seem to be still working Ok, after several cuts totalling about 20 feet long. If it continues to work, the diamond grit remains bonded to the metal blade, I would recommend it - after all, there is little alternative.

Ok, but bristles a bit weak.

This wire brush is generally ok, but the stiffness of the wire bristles is not quite a good as my older brushes. It seems the gauge of the wire used is thinner than my older brushes, so the bristles bend easier, provide less abrasion when rubbed across the surface to be cleaned and seem to break off easier. I'd pay a bit more for a brush with stiffer wire bristles, but I can't find one. But, for £2 inc p+p, it is a reasonable brush.

cutting slots with diamond discs

Discs used in a Dremel to cut 0.6mm wide slots in HSS cutting tools. Discs seem to wear quite quickly and when the diamond coating has worn off, the disc is useless - it cuts nothing and just gets hot. Ok for very small scale jobs, such as model making, but if you cut across one 1/2" diameter steel rod or bolt, the disc will be worn out.
