Good, a bit basic but look out for lightning strikes!

The best things about this phone are the way you can add together additional handsets (up to 5 I think) without the need for extra phone sockets etc and the LCD which shows you caller numbers (if you've got it set up with your provider). The sound quality seems good - certainly better than the Asda handset I've got plugged in, too. The menu is a bit confusing to navigate, but the manuals are available online and are easy to find. Setting it up is all pretty straight forward. The only bad/annoying things are; a) the display is hard to read in low light as it's not backlit b) the handsets don't share phone-book entries (although that's expecting a bit much, I suppose) c) the range of the base-station isn't huge and the handsets beep when they're on the edge of their range, which is annoying when you're speaking to someone. d) the main base station DEFINITELY needs surge protection on BOTH the power and the phone line - I'm on my third main base station now after lightning strikes nearby :( I bought a new main base-unit and handset on e-Bay for about a fiver, so don't be fooled by Asda'a current £22.00 "offer"!

Works perfectly - fits a Defender

I bought this to split the various ball-joints in the steering on my Defender - I'd read that the cheaper separators available don't all open wide enough to fit the ball-joints on a Defender. This one worked straight out of the box and was very easy to use. Ball-joints go with a Hell of a bang when they separate, though - be ready for it!
