Decent product for consumer, but difficult to repair
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich The Kindle is decent enough - the e-ink screen is pretty good, and so is its battery life.
However, this product is difficult to repair, because all the inside parts have been glued together. You will need a hex-head screwdriver for the screws, too. If you pry out the battery (whether for replacement or to leave room for further disassembly), you will probably bend and break it. The glue can be rubbed/peeled off with enough work, but it's very difficult to peel apart the adhesives in the first place (without chemicals that could endanger the electronics, at least).
Also, all the buttons are located either on the motherboard (front buttons) or glued to the screen assembly (side buttons), making repairs of broken buttons impossible.
