Cheap for a reason

I had purchased a very similar item a few years ago and had no issues. I ordered this as an additional unit and could not get it to function. After a quick internet search it became apparent why. There are components missing internally and the unit has been miswired to attempt to get it functioning. It may work with some devices (none of mine worked) but it breaks MIDI conventions as it has no opto isolator which is a protection device. I have checked both my original and this unit. My original has all the components and this one does not. Search under Cheap USB MIDI cable: some self assembly may be required.

Not Even Slinky

I was needing a set of strings for a lap slide guitar tuned to D. These fit the bill perfectly. Don't know what they would be like on a guitar. A bit heavy for me.

Good all round acoustic strings

This review is for extra light strings as that was my purchase. Have used these string for a few years now and have been pleased with how they sound. They are a good choice for lighter built guitars and easier to play for beginners. The new packaging is a very good as have had slightly marked strings in the past with the old style paper and card packaging. Should be no problem now as all is sealed.
