Serves purpose when on
It's tighter and smaller than it looked in the pictures. The baby is 7 months old and it's very snug on his head and not much room to adjust. He hates it and won't keep it on but it would work to prevent damage if he did. Maybe it it was a bit looser, he might.

It works good. I needed a replacement for the one that was broken.
