Seems to be old and a little dry

Too bad Dr Scholl's did away with these.
With support socks it's all about fiber content. And these Dr. Scholl's are the real deal. They're 93% nylon and 7% spandex. And they last months and months without losing their supportive compression. They do not pill or run, but stand up to normal everyday wear and tear very well. Probably why the company decided to do away with them. The new look-alike model is made with 97% nylon and 3% spandex. Tricky. They snag and run like crazy. And their latest floral design does have the right fiber content, but doesn't have the same supportive feel and ability to hold up against snags. If you see these (the original kind), buy them up. You won't be disappointed.
